LETTER FROM THE EDITORS

A chairde,

Let us be frank with you all– very little seems to be going well, like, in

general. We have handled this as quietly as we could, for as long as we

could, but now it is time to get it all out in the open. That is, in simplest

terms, why we picked this theme for the edition. We needed this, and

honestly we think you need it too.

There is comfort, some have said, in familiar suffering. So it must follow

(or, at least, we hope it must) that a similar comfort can be found in

familiar rage. We invite you to let loose within these pages, to release the

pressure-valve, to ease your mind with the unease of others.

Whatever slings and arrows may scrape us, the Martello carries on. We

thank our contributors and readers for providing us with the bricks, our

friends and families for the mortar, and one another for the blueprints.

May the foundations we have built outlast us all.’

(Un)happy reading,

Le grá,

Úna agus Jack
